Jean Earhart

Jean earned her Bachelors of Science degree in Elementary Education from Southern Illinois University, where she played on the women’s golf team. She and her husband, Rob, have three grown sons and two goofy boxers.  Jean has many years of experience working with children of various ages and in a variety of settings – from preschool and children’s ministries, to camps and  elementary schools.  She has valuable experience gained from working in an elementary public school modeled after Dr. William Glasser’s Choice Theory. This theory focuses on creating a positive learning environment by seeking to meet the basic needs of all children. Quality time to Jean is burgers on the grill and a rousing game of bags with her family.


Amy Smith

Amy Smith

Amy earned a degree in Computer Science from Anderson University. She worked for 10 years doing software development for mobile phones before staying home with her daughter.

She has been married to her husband Brandon for 11 years. She serves at Village Church in the MOMS ministry and is involved in a small group. Amy enjoys traveling, sewing, reading, and being outdoors.
 


Mandy Wilkerson

Mandy Wilkerson

Mandy received her Associates of Arts degree with an emphasis on Early Education from the College of Lake County. She has worked with children of many ages in various settings for over eight years.

She has two young and spirited kids. In her free time she enjoys yoga, reading, watching movies and spending time with her family.


Meg Fitzpatrick

Meg Fitzpatrick

Meg enjoys volunteering in 1st – 5th grade Sunday school class and teaching at Vacation Bible School. She also enjoys volunteering in her kids schools. She loves to crochet, cross stitch, and read. Meg is excited for the opportunity to spend time with the kids at Early Learning Village.


Ashley Bouchard

Ashley Bouchard

Ashley earned a Bachelors of Arts in Early Childhood Education with a concentration in Special Education from Kendall College in Chicago. She has 10+ years of experience in working with children including working as a nanny, camp counselor, and teaching at several learning centers. She has also been an active volunteer at her church with their Kid's World program.  

She’s married and has two small children. In her spare time she loves reading, baking, outdoor activities, and spending time with her kids.


Christina Naumann

Christina Naumann

Christina received her Bachelor of Science degree from Arizona State University in Family Resources and Human Development. She has worked as an assistant director of a day care in Arizona and as a 1:1 aide at Woodland School. Christina has also taught Religious Education for the last three years at St. Paul the Apostle.

Her husband and three children moved from Arizona to Lake County five years ago. When Christina is not running her boys around to various activities, she enjoys cooking, reading, writing, walking and family camping. She is thankful for the opportunity to be a part of the children’s lives at ELV. 


Deb Anderson

Deb Anderson

Deb received her bachelors in Elementary Education from Trinity International University. She taught 2nd grade before leaving the classroom to stay at home with her children. During those years, she was on staff and very involved with children's ministry at Village Church. In recent years, she has been teaching preschool children and loving their excitement of learning through play.

She and her husband, Scott, have three children. Deb loves to travel, read, camp, and enjoy the outdoors as much as possible.


Jennifer Alcantara

Jennifer Alcantara

Jennifer received a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology and Educational Studies at Mt. Holyoke College and a Masters of Arts in Early Childhood Education at Smith College in Massachusetts. She is deeply committed to high quality early childhood education for all children. She has taught Pre-K, kindergarten and second grade, as well as working for many years as an elementary special education teaching assistant. She has spent the last six years staying home with her three girls, ages 8, 6, and 2. She and her husband Jared live in Grayslake, IL. Jennifer loves to travel and spends vacations visiting family in both Oregon and New Jersey. She enjoys reading, music, cooking, sewing, nature, and going to the ocean, especially the Oregon Coast.


Erin Magnuson

Erin Magnuson

For over seven years, Erin had the opportunity to teach a diverse group of students. After teaching 5th grade for a few years, Erin made the decision to move to second grade. She greatly enjoyed teaching the younger students.

Erin has three children. She has stayed actively involved in her kid's education and hobbies. Her love for missions has also led her to participate and support the Feed My Starving Children organization. She enjoys traveling with her family, watching sports with her boys, and painting pottery with her daughter. She is thrilled to be part of the Early Learning Village program.

 


Tammy Olson

  • Assistant, Blue Bear Room

Tammy Olson

Tammy has many years of valuable experience working with children. She was the “Art and Nature Lady” with an outdoor camp for six years where she had over 100 different species of animals. She also just finished her 20th year as a 4-H Leader with the Millburn Clovers.  

Tammy and her husband farm 800 acres of hay in Lake County and keep chickens, ducks, turkeys and goats. She has a great love for children and animals. 


Craig Worrall

  • Lead Teacher, Green Cheetahs Room

Craig Worrall

Craig earned his bachelor’s degree in Elementary Education from Northern Illinois University. He has worked for the past few years as an assistant in a special needs program. He has a passion for teaching both educationally and spiritually.

Craig and his wife Alicia are newer to the area and love adventuring outdoors, being nerdy together, and spending time with friends over coffee or dinner.

 


Sue Gomez

Sue Gomez

Sue has a degree in Sociology & French from Illinois Wesleyan University. Before staying home with her children, she worked in staffing and training in the corporate world. Sue enjoys working with children and helping them learn. She has many years experience as an instructional aide at the grade school and preschool level. Sue is married and has three teenage daughters. She coaches grade school and club volleyball, enjoys gardening, animals, playing volleyball, biking, and traveling.


Michelle Adamski

Michelle Adamski

Michelle’s most recent experience includes four years as an instructional aide at the grade school level. She looks forward to sharing her love of learning with the young children in the preschool program. She is married and has two sons in high school. She treasures spending time with her family and friends. She enjoys traveling, spending time outdoors, volunteering, reading, and art.


Cheryl Spangler

Cheryl Spangler

Cheryl earned her Bachelor of Science degree in Elementary Education with a concentration in Language Arts from Northern Illinois University. Cheryl has taught children of various ages at public schools,  church ministries and as an assistant in the Yellow Cheetah room. She especially enjoys reading to children and exploring new books together.

Cheryl and her husband Todd have two grown children...a daughter who is married, and a son in college. She enjoys reading, taking walks, and gardening. Her favorite activities to do with her family are trying out different escape rooms, and vacationing together at Disney World.


 


April Jensen

April Jensen

April has served at Village Church in a variety of children’s ministries, and has, for the past three years, joyfully subbed for the Early Learning Village. In addition to serving our little ones, she enjoys working with animals, especially horses! Her mother-in-law calls her, “The Animal Whisperer,” and her horse, “Henry VIII,” will surely concur! God has blessed April with two wonderful children and a fantastic husband who love exploring our country and learning about its history. She is more than excited to be sharing her heart for kids as she joins our Early Learning Village family!
