What to Expect

Attending a new church for the first time can certainly be an overwhelming experience, especially if you don’t know what to expect!  Our hope is you feel comfortable on our campus, warmly welcomed, and confident your children will have a safe and fun experience.  If you choose to be our guest on a Sunday morning here are a few things you might enjoy knowing before you arrive!

  • You can dress casually! Most people attending Village Church wear casual, comfortable clothing, but should you choose to dress up a little more you will certainly not feel out of place!
  • You will not be asked to stand in service or wear a name tag. We hope you feel welcome, but we also recognize most of our guests prefer to remain somewhat anonymous their first few times.
  • You are our guest and we do not expect you to contribute to the offering collection.
  • Our wifi information may come in handy - username: vcguestuser, password: lifesteps
  • Our 9 & 10:45am worship services last about 70-75 min and feature predominantly contemporary/modern music, stories about God’s faithfulness in the lives of his people, and a bible-based message from one of our pastors.
  • Our 8am worship service [on hiatus until September 10] lasts about 60 min and features predominantly traditional hymns of the faith, but includes the same bible-based message as the later services.
  • We have a great Welcome Team of Greeters, Ushers, Welcome Center Hosts, Coffee Shop volunteers, and Children’s Ministry Registration volunteers ready and eager to assist you with any need and answer any question you may have.
  • During both services we have a full range of Sunday morning opportunities for children with age-appropriate teaching from nursery care, toddlers, preschoolers and elementary age classes. Visit the Kid Zone page for more information.
  • Junior High (6th-8th grade) and Senior High (9th grade) classes take place during the 10:45am service. Visit the Students page for more information.
  • Should your family choose to stick together, that’s fine too! All ages are welcome in the worship services.
  • We have a room just off the auditorium (Room 202) for families with small children in case you need to step out of service, and nursing moms are welcome too! You can view the service from a monitor in this room so you won't miss a beat.
  • Village Church is fully accessible to our guests in wheelchairs and others who may have difficultly navigating stairs. The elevator from the ground floor to either the upper or lower levels is located in the north side entrance. We also offer Assistive Listening devices for the hearing impaired.
  • When you arrive at Village Church you will encounter welcoming, friendly people and a church eager to support you in your walk of faith!
