Don’t miss out on this first-time opportunity to get away for the weekend. Our theme this year is Call to Action...we’ll be challenged to take action in our faith.

Speaker: Dr. Ronn Read

Ronn grew up in Kansas but has lived 'from coast to coast'. He attended John Brown University on a baseball scholarship, then transferred to Kansas State University where he accepted Christ through Campus Crusade ministries. He met and married Janie at this same time, and they moved to Lynchburg, Virginia, where Ronn played baseball and graduated from Liberty University, then coached baseball at Liberty while finishing his Master of Divinity work at Liberty Theological Seminary.

They moved to Quincy, Illinois to start a church, and Ronn completed his Doctoral work in Family and Marriage Counseling at that time. Ronn has served as a senior pastor for 35+ yrs in Quincy, Milwaukee, and Tacoma, Washington as well as the Executive Pastor of Spiritual Development at Yosemite Church in Merced California. During that time he also served as a church health consultant in Moraga, California. He resigned after serving over seven years as Senior Pastor of Alpine Chapel in Lake Zurich Illinois to become the Chicagoland Area Director for Man In The Mirror ministries. Since July of 2015 he has also served as Regional Field Director, overseeing field staff from Michigan to Texas.

His goal is to challenge every believer to develop a Biblical worldview and to bring out the best in every Christian that we might reveal the reality of Christ in all we do.

Ronn and Janie have five children and 16 grandkids as well as a lab named Max, a Scotty named Maggie, and a cat – (and do cat’s names really matter?)

Ronn's passion is spiritual development, especially of men, and his best place to discuss it is on the golf course.
