What will be included in this project?
The projects in these four phases (children/student spaces; lobby; auditorium; and outdoors) are intended to serve the renewing work we hope to see God do in our lives, and in the lives of people throughout Lake County. Our staff, trustees, and finance team will continue to address ongoing needs and opportunities that exist outside the RENEW campaign.

How did the projects come about?
Elders and staff ministry leaders have incorporated both principles of ministry strategy and stewardship over many months of discussion to arrive at the projects within each phase.

How has the scope of RENEW projects scaled to projected costs? 
We have right-sized the overall scope of Renew considering our financial commitments, Renew giving, a detailed financial analysis from INJOY, along with the wisdom and faith of ministry leaders. Vaulted ceilings (in the lobby and student ministry space), exterior signage for the main entrance, outdoor bathrooms, and additional sports area are not in our current scope of work. 

How much are we looking to raise?
We are trusting God to provide up to $1.15 million during this 24-month emphasis.

When will the work be done?
Projects will be done debt-free and phase by phase. We intend to build at the speed of God’s provision through your sacrifice and generosity. Lord willing, the first phase of work (the Children’s and Student ministry spaces) could begin around Spring/Summer 2024.

Should I transfer my regular giving to Village Church over to RENEW?
No, RENEW gifts are over-and-above your regular giving to Village Church. Your regular giving is invested to support our church’s ongoing ministry.

How much should I give?
This is between you and the Lord. Part of the spiritual journey we’re walking together involves each one of us coming before God and prayerfully considering how much he is leading us to invest. As you sense God’s leading, step out in faith and obedience.

Will my RENEW pledge be publicly known?
No, your commitment will be known only by our financial staff in the church office, for record-keeping purposes. Other than this, your pledge will be completely confidential.

Am I able to change my RENEW pledge after I’ve made it?
Yes. We understand that changing circumstances may prompt people to revise their original pledge upward or downward. If you need to do this, simply contact the church office to update your information.

Will Village Church take out any loans to complete RENEW projects?
It is our full intention to move forward with construction only as God provides the funds to complete each phase of the overall project. If needed, the original plans will be modified by church leadership to ensure we do not have to borrow money.

How can I give?
You can give using cash, checks, electronically through the church website, or the Realm app for “RENEW Giving”. Non-cash contributions can be made as well, such as stocks and gifts-in-kind. Do I need to give my entire RENEW pledge all at once?
No. You can give however is best for you—weekly, monthly, quarterly, annually, or all at once.
