What are Wednesday Nights at Village?

On Wednesday nights, we’re not Village Church of Gurnee.
We are Village Church FOR Gurnee! Wednesday Nights at Village are for our community - for people young and old…and anywhere in between.

WHY? It’s simple, God loves our community and so, we do too.

  • Faith + Financial Wellness

    Learn how to apply practical, faith-centered principles as you manage your finances! This engaging, hands-on class will equip you with lifelong money management skills - and will encourage your heart in other ways as well.

    Topics include:
    -Shaping a healthy money mindset
    -Building and living by a budget
    -Staying out of debt
    -Understanding taxes and insurance
    -Planning for long-term security

    Whether you're just starting your financial journey or looking to sharpen your skills, you'll leave with tools for living with greater clarity, contentment, confidence, and hope.

  • Outreach Prayer Gathering

    Do you have a heart for seeing people experience God’s love through all we say and do? Each month, we’ll gather to pray very specifically for people who aren’t yet Christians...even as we pray that God would give us a greater burden for spiritually-lost people. We’ll also pray for our community, our global outreach partners, and more!

  • Outreach for Ordinary People

    Second Wednesday of each month

    This once-a-month group will take a highly-relational, highly-practical approach to helping you “be God’s strategy” in sharing Jesus with the people you know. We’ll be blessed to learn from Wayne & Ollie’s decades of experience in sharing the gospel with people, and equipping others to do the same. Evangelism isn’t just for a select group of super-Christians...it’s for every Christian, and it’s for everyday Christians!

  • Finding Peace in an Anxious World Discussion Group

    Wednesdays, November 5 - December 17

    $5/person (covers book cost)

    Sometimes it seems like, no matter where we turn, we see or hear yet one more thing that makes us feel uneasy, concerned, or flat-out scared. How can we find peace when the world we live in brings us so much anxiety? Join us for this 6-week discussion group where we’ll dig deeper into these topics – and look to the Bible to find hope and guidance. Whether you’re new to thinking about how matters of faith apply to everyday situations, or whether you’ve been growing in this for many years, this group will encourage you and strengthen you in life-changing ways!
